All the following photos were taken with a standard issue ARSCC camera (ie one of those cheapo throw-away ones) - the quality shows :-)
Across the road from FOLO where we picketed on Saturday morning Misenla and Taniwha show us the "Snow White Cafe" no doubt the scene of ardent plotting in years gone by. (Well Misenla seems to be showing us, Taniwha has been caught in a limp wristed wave).Notice the halo of BTs swarming over Mis's head and upstat Taniwha's single BT over his head (I have no idea what these bizarre things are - probably lights inside the cafe)
The sign on the side of the UFO reads "Rent-A-UFO" and the things that look like wings fold down to make a full saucer
This is the main gate - Wogs at cause were shutting down Co$ premises all over the world that weekend and Hemet was no exception - the whole time we saw only 4 people - 3 of them were jammed in this little booth at the main entrance. We waved as we walked past, they stared.
This is the big new production studio being built on the west side - boy it's ugly - and situated in a wasteland outside the main razor-wire fence - they seemed to be adding little castly towers as an extra afterthought as if someone (perhaps the dwarf on the hill above?) decreed "shit it's ugly - add some more kitch!". I think they were lucky the El Nino rains had brought down a lot of stuff from the dry washes on the hill behind - it looked like it just missed this brand new building
This too-cute little church right on the road-side is obviously intended as propaganda - check out the lovely stained glass window in the center, on all other churches in the world the stained glass is designed so that it can be seen inside from the light of outside in a dim sanctum. This one is intended to be lit from inside and seen from the road (otherwise the "S" in the window would be backwards). In short it's an advertizing sign.
Here's the famed "ship in the desert" - on closer inspection it appears to actually be a building with masts sticking out the top - not a full ship at all. I'm told it's by a pool.
Geoff Burling in front of the razor wire - in the background is the gigantic house on the hill that overlooks everything, why would such a small man need such a big house?
We met a bunch of local (non-Co$) Hemet residents who told us about the "place where they keep the prisoners" (presumably the RPF) it was this little house a little to the east up a dirt road - it was outside the razor wire so I'm not so sure, it's about the size of a 1 car garage.
